Consulting Program Manager

HTD Health is a strategy and technology consultancy dedicated to healthcare transformation. Our Centers of Excellence (CoEs) are capability-focused functions designed to offer deep domain value to our clients - helping them navigate the industry's most complex technical and strategic challenges.

We are looking for a Consulting Program Manager to define and operationalize our consulting delivery models. You will translate HTD’s technical capabilities into structured service offerings and establish the operational systems required to scale our newest service lines.

  • Reporting to: Head of Delivery

  • Location: Remote-friendly (New York City preferred)

What we need from you:

  • External Consulting SME Background: 5+ years of experience in an external professional services or consulting firm, with a track record of building, structuring, or launching new service lines. Experience limited strictly to internal corporate consulting roles will not be considered.
  • Healthcare & Tech Literacy: A strong understanding of the fundamentals of the US healthcare ecosystem and a solid grasp of digital transformation involving technology and data. (While deep healthcare domain expertise is a strong plus, exceptional consulting generalists able to adapt quickly to new industries are highly encouraged to apply).
  • The "Builder" Mindset: You are a self-starter who thrives in the ambiguity of a "V1" project, comfortable with open-ended engagements, and views the creation of operational frameworks as a core part of business strategy.
  • Storytelling Mastery: A high "design eye", a clear understanding of a consultant's core value proposition, and the ability to turn domain complexity into a polished, persuasive executive narrative.
  • Operational Excellence: An operational mindset with experience in tracking portfolio health and optimizing professional services workflows.

Your Main Focus Areas at HTD:

  • Architect New Offerings: You will work across the business to define and launch new consulting offerings, starting with our Software Engineering Automation CoE. This includes defining engagement structures, structuring pricing models aligned with elite consultancy standards, and laying out the plan for first client delivery.
  • Elevate the Client Experience: You’ll start with our Interoperability CoE, auditing the current client journey and raising the bar for how we deliver value. You will design operational frameworks and workflows to ease the delivery burden on our consulting principals.
  • "V1" Lead Delivery: As a new area spins up, you will be a key strategist on the ground. In the initial stages, you will help execute and test the first engagements in the market to gather client feedback, validate the model, and strategically shape the future delivery approach.
  • Quality & Storytelling Mastery: You provide the final set of eyes on storytelling logic and visual polish for all executive-facing outputs. You ensure our work resonates with senior healthcare stakeholders and meets HTD’s high standards.
  • Portfolio Stewardship & Insights: You will maintain a live view of team capacity and you will leverage operational data to drive strategic decisions, forecast capacity needs, and identify early warnings of when it’s time to scale or hire. You’ll also partner with Finance to ensure project health, revenue impact, and milestone completion are tracked with 100% accuracy.

How We’ll Measure Your Impact:

  • Visibility & Clarity: Within 60 days, leadership has a real-time view of project health, system automation, and team capacity across the CoE portfolio.
  • Strategic Growth: By Q4, we have a clearly defined, validated, and operationalized set of consulting offerings as part of HTD’s Software Engineering Automation CoE.
  • Elite Quality: 100% of deliverables meet the HTD brand standards for clarity and executive-ready design before leaving the team.

What you can expect from us

  • Flexible Work Options: We operate under a "work from anywhere" policy. You can work from your preferred US-based location, with flexible hours agreed upon based on schedule preferences and company needs.
  • Health Insurance: HTD Health provides comprehensive health coverage, including medical, dental, vision, basic life, and AD&D.
  • Retirement Matching: 401(k) Retirement Plan with a company match.
  • Generous Vacation Policy: 23 days of paid time off (PTO) in accordance with applicable law and internal policy.
  • Paid Holidays: Full observance of all U.S. federal holidays.
